The shadowy magical energies related to some wicked deities, evil forces, or the shadowy plane of existence called the Netherworld sometimes manifest in the form of corrupted living creatures. The shadow bat has the physique of a giant bat made of shadows with the magical ability to create powerful gusts of wind.

Abilities
Echolocation — The bat can "see" using its hearing at the listed range, allowing it to function just as well in darkness.
Screeching Gust — The shadow bat flaps its wings and lets out a mighty screech, creating a cone of tearing winds and piercing sound. All creatures in a 15-foot type:cone take 3d6 sonic damage, with a DC 16 Reflex saving throw. Creatures that fail are pushed backwards 10 feet by the wind.
Using its wings in this way exhausts the shadow bat, causing it to fall harmlessly to the ground immediately after using this ability and preventing it from taking flight or using Screeching Gust again for 1d4 rounds.
