Lesser Death

Creature 16 (rare) — undead, unholy

WeaverCrasherLANDAERIALundeadunholy

No one is quite sure what lesser deaths are, though some claim that they are avatars of the Grim Reaper. Unlike that strange hunter, however, lesser deaths hunt in packs on rare occasions. More often than not, they manifest from cursed magic items. Other times, they are just the enactors of death, hunting in the same way the Grim Reaper does—silently, with no remorse or quarter. Rarely, multiple lesser deaths work together to cull a large population, their scythes cutting through crowds and leav

Abilities

Death's Grace — The lesser death can choose whether or not it counts as undead for effects that affect undead differently. Even if it does not count as undead, the lesser death still never counts as a living creature.
Status Sight — The Lesser Death automatically knows the Hit Points, conditions, afflictions, and emotions of all creatures it can see.
Constant Spells — A constant spell affects the monster without the monster needing to cast it, and its duration is unlimited. If a constant spell gets counteracted, the monster can reactivate it by spending the normal spellcasting actions the spell requires.
+1 Status to All Saves vs. Magic
Aura of Misfortune (aura, divine, misfortune) — 20 feet.

Living creatures in the aura must roll twice on all d20 rolls and use the lower result.
Lurking Death (divine, teleportation) —
Void Healing — A lesser death can choose whether or not it takes vitality damage.

A creature with void healing draws health from void energy rather than vitality energy. It is damaged by vitality damage and is not healed by vitality healing effects. It does not take void damage, and it is healed by void effects that heal undead.
Infuse Weapon (divine) — Any scythe gains the agile trait, can't be disarmed, and becomes a +2 greater striking keen scythe while the lesser death wields it.
Divine Innate Spells DC 38, attack +30
6th Truesight (Constant)
2nd See the Unseen (Constant)

WORKS WELL WITH

AnvilLAND / AERIALA durable frontline body can occupy the aura's space, soaking penalized rolls while allies fight from outside its radius.
SniperLAND / AERIALA ranged attacker stays outside the aura's radius, avoiding the roll penalty entirely.
FlankerLAND / AERIALA mobile striker seizes openings created by the aura's disadvantage on defensive rolls.

PUNISHES

✖ clumping✖ standing still✖ melee reliance
Avoid stacking multiple Weavers; the party only needs to escape one all-encompassing debuff aura at a time.
