Designed to serve as devastatingly powerful foot soldiers against enemies with plentiful magic, facetbound nullifiers shear through magical effects as easily as they slice through flesh and bone. The pale lavender ellipsoid aeon stones they bear are sunk deep into their heads and surrounded by an ugly bruise. Inspired by the work of the Azlanti and their obsessions with aeon stones, certain necromancers strive to tap into those curious magical items to create undead with powerful abilities. A f

Abilities

Implanted Stone — A nullifier's aeon stone can't be Disarmed or removed until the nullifier is destroyed.
+2 Status to All Saves vs. Magic
Always Ready — The nullifier gains an additional reaction each round that can be used only for Defensive Dispel.
Attack of Opportunity — The nullifier can also make attacks of opportunity against concentrate actions to Cast a Spell, and it disrupts that action on any hit, not just a critical hit.
Defensive Dispel (arcane) —
Void Healing — A creature with void healing draws health from void energy rather than vitality energy. It is damaged by vitality damage and is not healed by vitality healing effects. It does not take void damage, and it is healed by void effects that heal undead.
Field of Force — A nullifier's melee Strikes deal an additional 2d10 force damage (already included in the Strikes above).
Sever Spell (arcane, attack) — Frequency once per round

Effect The nullifier makes a melee Strike against a target. If the attack hits, the nullifier attempts to counteract a spell or magical effect on the target (of the nullifier's choice), with a counteract modifier of +27. The target is temporarily immune to Sever Spell for 24 hours.
Arcane Innate Spells DC 34, attack +26
2nd Dispel Magic (×3)
Cantrips (2nd) Detect Magic, Read Aura

WORKS WELL WITH

CrasherLAND / AERIALA heavy melee attacker adds raw burst damage while this defender locks down enemy spellcasters who might otherwise counter or debuff the assault.
SniperLAND / AERIALA ranged attacker keeps pressure on backline threats while this defender's reach and anti-magic kit denies any spellcasting response from the front.
ShadeLAND / AERIALAn ambush striker can slip past a party whose casters are locked down and dispelled by the constant magic denial.

PUNISHES

✖ spell reliance✖ buff stacking✖ concentrate actions
Avoid stacking with another anti-magic specialist; redundant spell-denial abilities have little left to interact with once one caster is locked down.
