Sporeborn Skull

Creature 2 — fungus, mindless, undead, unholy

Pre-Remaster content. May include legacy alignment.

SnareSniperLANDAERIALfungusundeadunholypoisonacid

More dangerous than simple severed heads, these skulls are wreathed in unearthly flames. Beheaded are the reanimated heads of decapitation victims. These mindless undead fly through the air or roll around to attack their prey.

Abilities

Stir the Spores (poison) — Frequency once per rounds

Trigger The sporeborn skull takes bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage

Effect The impact scatters spores onto all creatures within 5 feet, making them Sickened 1 (DC 18 Fortitude negates).
Void Healing — A creature with void healing draws health from void energy rather than vitality energy. It is damaged by vitality damage and is not healed by vitality healing effects. It does not take void damage, and it is healed by void effects that heal undead.

WORKS WELL WITH

AnvilLAND / AERIALA durable frontliner keeps melee contact going, letting the reactive spore burst stack its debuff on repeated hits.
CrasherLAND / AERIALAn aggressive melee attacker draws enemies into adjacency, compounding the poison pressure on anyone who stays close.
FlankerLAND / AERIALA mobile skirmisher exploits the openings created once the sickened condition lowers a target's defenses.

PUNISHES

✖ melee reliance✖ clumping✖ low Fortitude
Avoid stacking with another reactive area-denial creature; overlapping death-trigger blasts against the same cluster becomes redundant.
