FlankerLANDanimal

Riding dogs types include larger dogs, such as mastiffs, wolfhounds, and huskies, and are bred often by halflings and gnomes to serve as mounts. Abilities

Buck — DC 17 Reflex

Most monsters that serve as mounts can attempt to buck off unwanted or annoying riders, but most mounts will not use this reaction against a trusted creature unless the mounts are spooked or mistreated.

Trigger A creature Mounts or uses the Command an Animal action while riding the monster.

Effect The triggering creature must succeed at a Reflex saving throw against the listed DC or fall off the creature and land Prone. If the save is a critical failure, the triggering creature also takes 1d6 bludgeoning damage in addition to the normal damage for the fall.
Pack Attack — The dog's Strikes deal 1d4 extra damage to creatures within the reach of at least two of the dog's allies.

WORKS WELL WITH

AnvilLANDA durable frontline body can help mob a single target alongside the dog, triggering its pack attack bonus damage more easily.
SnareLANDA controller that keeps a target from retreating lets multiple pack members stay in reach for the damage bonus.
SniperLANDA ranged attacker adds pressure while the dog and its allies focus down an isolated target for bonus damage.

PUNISHES

✖ isolated targets✖ standing still
Avoid stacking multiple Flankers without control support; the pack attack bonus already rewards grouping around one target, so more flankers add less than a controller would.
